Moosafear is a Jakarta- based architectural film photographer with a background in interior design. My design training has shaped the way I observe architecture, driven by a deep sensitivity to light, composition, and the unseen rhythm of space.
Architecture is (still) a slow process, and architectural photography should reflect that responsibly. It requires focus, a precise eye for light, shadow, color and form. Working with a medium format film camera and a tripod naturally slows the process, encouraging me to step back, observe, and allow the space to reveal itself. In that stillness, photographing architecture becomes a contemplative practice rather than an act of documentation.
For me, film is more than a medium; it is a philosophy of seeing. It records moments with honesty, embracing imperfection, unpredictability, and the passage of time. Every frame is shaped by light, presence, and patience, preserving not only how a place looked, but how it felt. Rather than simply capturing architecture, film evokes memory, nostalgia, and a sense of timelessness, transforming each photograph into a lasting expression of space.
